Psilocybin Truffles & Grow Kits

Legal in the Netherlands

Fresh Psilocybe Tampanensis Mexicana sclerotia truffles (commonly known as “magic truffles”) are fully legal in the Netherlands. They are not classified as mushrooms and are therefore exempt from the 2008 ban on “magic mushrooms.” Legally, they are treated as food supplements under EU botanical guidelines.

International & EU Law

Although psilocybin is listed in the UN Convention on Psychotropic Substances, natural truffles are not explicitly banned. According to Article 32(12), natural products such as truffles and peyote fall outside the convention’s scope unless extracted or synthesized.

Thanks to the Mutual Recognition of Goods principle in the EU, products legally sold in one member state (like the Netherlands) may also be marketed in other EU countries.

Psilocybin Mushroom Grow Kits

Grow kits that contain no psilocybin or psilocin (i.e. no mature mushrooms or spores that contain active substances) are also legal in the Netherlands. These kits typically include only mycelium, substrate, or spores, and do not fall under the Opium Act until psychoactive compounds are actually formed through cultivation. As such, grow kits may be legally sold and shipped within the Netherlands and, under EU law, to other member states.

Shipping & Responsibility

We ship our truffles throughout the EU in accordance with Dutch and EU law. However, Primal Focus is not liable for any customs issues, seizures, or legal consequences in your jurisdiction.

1S-LSD

What is 1S-LSD?

1S-LSD (1-(3-(trimethylsilyl)propionyl)-lysergic acid diethylamide) is a structural analogue of LSD. While chemically distinct, it exists in a legal grey area in many regions.

Outside the EU

Due to legal uncertainties, we do not ship 1S-LSD to the United States, Australia, or any country where the compound is known or suspected to be controlled. We reserve the right to cancel any order if it presents legal risk to the customer or our company.

Amsterdam Drops

What are Amsterdam Drops?
Amsterdam Drops contain 4-HO-MET, a research chemical structurally similar to psilocin — the active compound in magic mushrooms and truffles. While the effects may feel comparable, 4-HO-MET is a distinct substance and not explicitly banned in many EU countries.

Legal Status & Restrictions
Because 4-HO-MET is not classified as food or a consumer product, the EU principle of Mutual Recognition of Goods does not apply. Laws and interpretations vary widely by country, and customs authorities may still seize shipments even if the substance is technically legal.

We currently ship Amsterdam Drops only to the following EU countries: Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Ireland, Netherlands, Spain and Slovakia.
